The price is good, unfortunately the Franklin no longer makes them as a result of a law suit brought by Apple. Consequently the company provides no more technical support (or none that I hear of). For those who own Franklins here is a list of compatible products from Applied Engineering (no, I don't work for them) that may be useful: Ramfactor Transwarp PC Transporter Datalink 1200 and 2400 Modems Serial Pro Parallel Pro Buffer Pro Timemaster H.O. Z-80 Plus Phasor Viewmaster 80 12 Bit, 16 Channel A/D Signal Conditioner A/D + D/A I/O 32 5.25" Half-height Disk Drive Since Franklin models vary you should call AE at (214) 241-6060 to be sure. One advantage of a Franklin is that it can use the PC Transporter (the Lasers don't); although I hear that Franklins can only used patched versions of ProDOS. David R.
