If it's supposed to dial-wait-dial, then I can't immediately think of what might be the problem. If it's supposed to dial-wait-xmit, then the safe way to do this is: atdt1234567CONNECT54321 this would dial the modem and then sit and wait for the CONNECT string before proceeding. I am assuming from your description that you actually have 2 computers with modems - one calls the other for your test. Is this correct?
