Looking in magazines for the //, the lowest price 40 med drive for an Apple is a CMS drive and is around $700-$800. However, Mac magazines offer SCSI drives with the same storage for approx. $600. Can the // use ANY SCSI drive aslong as one has a SCSI card of some sort? Is it necessary for me to stick to CMS and Sider, or could I go for Rodime, Jasmine, and other companies whose products cater to Mac exclusively (and appear less expensive)? What makes one SCSI drive different from another? jeremy mereness jm7e+@andrew.cmu.edu (arpa)
