If I'm breaking any unwritten rules please excuse, and let me know.) I just purchased Appleworks-GS. After tearing open the package I copied the disks to my ROM drive and booted it up, (leaving the cleanup for later.) After typing in a short note, (just to try out the fonts), I went to print. To my dismay, there was no print driver for a parallel interface!! None! Not even one for Apple's own interface card! Now don't get me wrong. I know the "Standard Printer Interface" is the serial port, but how about a "grandfather clause" for those of us who can't afford to upgrade everything at once? Isn't GSOS suppose to have this wonderful capability to add drivers "with ease"? Anyhow, I have a Apple //gs with a Buffered Grappler + talking to an Epson compatable printer (Panasonic 1092). ANYBODY OUT THERE HAVE A DRIVER TO SUPPORT THIS CONFIGURATION? (My Appleworks GS is useless without it!) Thanks in advance, Phil Lindberg PS. This is my first Post-it note. Hopefully any answers will be able to find me. If not.... call (206) 237-1494. Thanks.
