It seems that your `lc' is non-standard with respect to System V; that's where it came from. On my Unix(tm) Box I have the alias: alias lf 'lc -F' which produces your `ls -F'. Ls -F tells you what's executable or not, usually :-]. Under gulam I use a similar alias. Have fun, -- Ralph P.
