If I cpio the whole directory structure to a tape, rm -r /usr2/spool/news from the file system and mkdir /usr2/spool/news, will it be HUGE again when restored from the tape? Will the subdirectories be their true or their "taped" sizes when restored? Is there a simpler way to do this?
