You can also cheat and shrink the name for the directorys in the path:

NORTON = NU
TURBOC = TC
  .
  .
  .

so that PATH=C:\NORTON;C:\TURBOC

becomes PATH=C:\NU;C:\TC

This does save a few characters if you only need to add one more name.
