Can some guru-type out there explain this for me? I have been memorizing Quarterdeck manuals for a few days and not seeing the light. I have an Inboard/PC and QEMM. When I boot the thing up without QEMM, discache or much else, I get a 560K of leftover conventional memory and 256k of available expanded memory. If I add QEMM with the NOVIDEOFILL option, I get 558k of conventional memory left, but only 96K of available expanded memory. Where does the other 160k go that was extended memory? I'd like to use it for other things. QEMM itself is only 36K or so, so it can't need that much to run. If I leave out the novideofill, it uses the 96k as added conventional memory, which still leaves 160k in limbo, so that's really no different. I'm probably overlooking the obvious, but that's not unusual. Thanks in advance. Joel K. BTW, overall the inboard is great, I would recommend one to anyone. jkennedy@umn-cs.cs.umn.edu jkennedy@julius.cs.umn.edu 612-633-4041 @ home 612-625-8348 @ school ====================================================== == I have no disclaimers, I am a college student. == ======================================================
