And since the store I got it from closed their doors permanently shortly after my puchase, I am without technical advice. With all of the configuration switches set properly (I think), and proper setup recorded in battery-backed mem, I get this message at boot time: Memory write/read failure at 080000, read EBEB expecting F7F7 Decreasing available memory Memory write/read failure at 100000, read F7F7 expecting EFEF Decreasing available memory Options: (1) memory is defective (2) memory is too slow for my machine What else? I am a hardware peon, and have no idea what's going on here. Do I need some sort of driver? Where does EMS figure into this?
