Co. - Advanced Technology Lab - St. Louis Lines: 15 I am getting very frustrated with this new machine. Ok I do not want to start another extended/expanded discussion but I would like to know for sure what I can do with the 1 meg that came with my machine. I have a 386 that came with "1 meg". Ok, fine I boot up my Xenix and it says there is 1024k that it recognizes. Now I reboot with MS-DOS and it wheels out 640 for the base no extended. The documentation I received with the PC says that the 348 on top is segmented and part can be used for EGA bios and another part can be relocatable, or I can use 348 for expanded. Well expanded is not what I need, I need the extended. The application that I am running says I need 1 meg, I thought I had 1 meg, the computer says no. What do I have to do? Is there a program/driver/anything to use the rest of memory as extended? Do I need to buy (shudder) something extra? Please, to save bandwidth on the net send E-mail. Gregg Jensen
