There seems to have been a bit of discussion lately about a problem
with saving documents in MS Word.  I missed out on the original
posting and many of the replies, so I hope this is appropriate.

One (related?) problem which I have with Word (version 3.01, and
some(?) earlier versions) is that in some cases, it will want to
access documents I've edited earlier -- after they've been closed.  
This is quite a pain sometimes, especially now that I've started to 
use MultiFinder.  If I want to move or rename a Word document that 
I've just been editing, I feel unsafe doing so unless I quit Word
first. Is this perhaps a plot by MS to undermine the usefulness of 
Multifinder? :-).
