Co., Inc., Everett, WA Lines: 29 I read both the InfoWorld and MacWorld articles: I think this is how the new models are supposed to appear: 1) Mac IIcx, released ~ April, basically a Mac IIx with only three slots. This seems to be a lot more solid than a rumor. 2) Mac ??, InfoWorld's rumored super-duper Mac IIx, with DMA, a faster-than-16Mhz-68030, a faster NuBus, etc. This is a rumor, but InfoWorld gave a pretty specific accounting of what was going to be in it. 3) Mac Laptop. According to Mac the Knife in MacWeek, there's been a struggle between a 68000 version which is just about ready to go, and a lighter 68030 version that is still under development. Sculley's claim that a laptop will be out by this summer seems to indicate that the 68000 model is going to be the winner here. On another subject entirely, it's a pity that Apple decided not to call the Mac SE/30 the Mac SEx. "Remember, these terrorists are professionals. Highly trained and well equipped.
