So I thought I would ask a survey of those that have used both the older Apple mice and the newer ADB type. This came up because I have several Mac's including a Plus that is like an old family relic. I finally broke down and sold the Plus to a friend and picked up another SE and noticed an immediate dislike of the mouse. Same mouse as my II and other SE, but I noticed more discomfort. So I sat down and looked at the mice and what jobs I did on each computer and formulated a theory. I find the new mice too low profile. So what's the problem? With the new mouse, my hand is forced to rest on the table surface. With the old mouse, my hand rested on the mouse alone. So I have two problems. First my hand sliding on the mouse pad irritates my hand and secondly, my body oil from my hand gets on the pad and the mouse. I cleaned my old mouse maybe once and added mouse feet to reduce the drag from the mouse. With the new mouse, I am constantly cleaning it. Anytime I want to do precise drawing, I have to clean it. The body oil picks up dust and sticks like glue to the wheels that the mouse ball turns. So that brings me to the point of my survey. How do the net users feel? Do you like the old mouse, new mouse, neither, etc? Email to me and if worthwhile, I'll summarize.
