    No they aren't. Or at least not 100% of them. Large parts of the Finder
and system are written in an HLL, though some parts are written in assembly.

    On another note, at the very least, apple will have to rewrite the toolbox
in order to make it reentrant if they wish to develop true preemptive 
multitasking.
