Message-ID: <1232@dogie.edu> Date: 24 Feb 89 14:37:07 GMT Sender: news@dogie.edu Organization: University of Wisconsin Academic Computing Center Lines: 26 Posted this earlier, got a few replies, but no answers yet: My Mac beeps twice when I quit out of an application and return to the project environment in LSC. (Using LSC 3.0 on Mac+, sys 6.0.2) I thought I had corrupted the project with an errant pointer, but replacing it didn't help. I tried replacing the LSC app, that doesn't seem to help, (tho once it did.) There are no viruses infecting my machine/system. The beep occur after my program drops out of it's "main() {}" routine, but trapping on SysBeep and peering at hex 910 reveals my application is still the current one. The SysBeep gets called in a loop, twice, then an ExitToShell is done (so sez TMON) and then we go back to the LSC project environment. Does this have anything to do with MultiFinder??? Have you ever noticed sometimes under MF when an application has problems you'll get 2 beeps and a dialog "This application has quit unexpectedly, returning to Finder." Well I don't get any such dialog, just the two beeps. It's nothing urgent but rather annoying, anybody got an informed guess what's happening? //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Internet: yahnke@vms.macc.wisc.edu Bitnet: yahnke@wiscmacc(.bitnet) \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
