Should I have some of the options There are any number of reasons as to why the mouse might freeze up; two come readily to mind: 1) Your program may have run amok and smashed the region of memory used by the mouse-handling interrupts. 2) Your higher-priority interrupt may have bumped off the mouse handlers.
