Lansing Lines: 12 NeXT has received a lot of praise in the press for intelligently designing a high-performance machine with multiple "channels" and a nice, fast M68030 central processor. Now, I realize that high performance is not the NeXT machine's primary contribution to the industry, and I feel a bit like a heretic asking this, but has anyone actually run any benchmarks on this machine (vs., for instance, IBM 80386's, Suns, VaxStations, etc.)? I know that this is a little like asking Queen Elizabeth her age and weight, but *inquiring minds want to know* ! Mark Riordan riordanmr@clvax1.cl.msu.edu
