We have in house two different versions of the Green Hills compiler (1.7.3 from them, and 1.8.3a from Oasys). So far, neither has proved satisfactory: *) 68020 support doesn't seem to work right in a specific case, and *) calling conventions don't match with the Sun compiler, which means some libraries don't work. *) that which doesn work runs 15-20% SLOWER, even though the code is 40% smaller, and much better looking. Has anyone out there gotten the Green Hills to work on a Sun-3, or found some other compiler to use? Please reply directly to me, or through comp.sys.sun, as I do not read comp.compilers regularly.
