I am trying to install TeX and LaTeX on a Sun 3 running SunOS 4.0
The tape is from U of Washington and the versions are:

TeX 2.93
LaTeX 2.09 
METAFONT 1.5

PROBLEM 1

I followed the instructions in TeX/tex82/README for building TeX.
I used the undump made by using TeX/undump/Makefile.SUN_V3.

The resulting tex gives a segmentation error. I guess the undump
is probably good only for Sun OS 3.x and NOT for Sun OS 4.0.

Is that true ? If yes where can I obtain the undump for Sun 3 running
Sun OS 4.0 ?

PROBLEM 2

When I tried to run initex from another Sun 3  which was mounting the
directory containing initex on the Sun 3 on which it was
compiled, strange behaviour was noticed. All kinds of control characters 
are printed followed by ": not found"

What could be wrong ?
