I need information on the Q I C (QIC) standards. I was told that it should be available from the various manufacturers. This was tried but so far, the information obtained is incomplete: o Hardware standard: - QIC 02 - QIC 36 o Software standard: - QIC 11 - QIC 24 The software standard is well documented and it is my understanding that QIC 24 is the 'de facto' standard for *NIX interchange. The main question remaining is what is the difference between: QIC 02 and QIC 36 Are they interchangeable ? (after tweaking with the cables ???) I will appreciate any help and/or reference to book(s), article(s) on this subject. Thanks in advance, -- Jacques -- Jacques A.
