This is a (well known) qdss server bug.  Here are some observations,
I will let you form you own work arounds if you feel that they are necessary.

1) XCopyPlane does not work from pixmap to window, but works fine from 
   pixmap to pixmap.  Also XCopyArea seems to be fine.

2) Stippling does not seem to work at all, but tiling works fine.
