Depends a bit on your clients.

We tried our Visual on a hard-wired 19.2 Kbaud SLIP line, and performance
was on the sluggish side of acceptable for xterm (I wouldn't use it at that
speed), and completely unacceptable for more elegant clients, such as
FrameMaker or Andrew `messages'.
