Recently, I've spent some time analyzing GNU code.

Out of a total of 763 C-source files and 360 C-include/header files,
there were 903,360 lines of source code. Included in this were
85,316 comments, making 209,852 lines forming a comment, for
a total of 23% of total lines, which is quite good.
