I agree that the author has a right TO THE SPECIFIC CODE he wrote - that's why I am looking for another implementation of the protocol. As a last resort, yes, I might well write my own implementation of the protocol (and even post it to usenet) - but it seems likely to me that this has already been done by someone else. Why waste a lot of time re-inventing the wheel? Logically, it seems to me looking around for another implementation (preferably, public domain{) is the right thing for me to do. -- bhv@igloo
