I have pkxarc and it worked fine. Something must have gone wrong with your transfer between either Simtel20 and your machine or your machine and your PC. To be sure I did the same thing you did, I typed 'type tenex' at the ftp prompt and then got the file. Then I downloaded the files to a pc that happens to be on the network.
