It is documented within Inside Mac Volume V as well as some of the Apple
Technical Notes (available from APDA).  The easiest thing to do might be to
paint a PICT to a large 32 bit display and then create an RGB file from
it, but I guess that wouldn't help if you don't have some variety of
Mac II already.
