I am looking for a C communication library for Unix/Xenix that provides
port status (IE CD, CTS, DTR, etc) and support for various multi-port
cards such as Compu-tone and Digiboard.  The library can be either 
public domain or commercial.

I am basically attempting to replace the popular MS-DOS library 
Essential Communications by Essential Software. If anyone has
any advice on this matter or any leads, please drop me a note.
