Message-ID: <2247@ndsuvax.UUCP> Date: 7 Mar 89 18:10:46 GMT Organization: North Dakota State University Fargo, ND Lines: 17 OK -- I just used a friend's PC and watched his ability to use UUPC with much envy. For those that don't know, UUPC is a pc based mailer that can connect using uucp 'g' protocol to a host and retrieve mail and news feeds. Now comes the curious question. Has anybody ported any or all of UUPC to the Apple // series? If so, could it please get posted? I'm sure there are more than one individual wanting the ability to retrieve mail and news at home. Granted, a hard drive is almost a necessity to receive a large volume of news, but just as a mail and comp.sys.apple retriever, the // implementation would certainly be useful. -- Bruce Bartholomew ndsuvax!nubartho 715 South 4th Street nu034421@ndsuvm1 : BITNET Moorhead, MN 56560 (218) 233-2534 "Deviant behavior is the lubricant for a changing society" - Steve Willis
