HLT ; grind... HLT ; shriek! HLT ; STOP! HLT ; uggh, just too much processor momentum here! It was a Z80 based system. The idea was that at the time of the DI, there could be 3 pending interrupts that would be serviced, and as everyone recalls, an interrupt on the Z80 will cause you to execute the instruction on return from the ISR.
