I'm running EUNICE 4.3.1 under VMS 4.5. I execute the `make' as if I was on a vax running BSD, and everthing seems to be OK. When I try to `gdb' a file I get the error message `"file" not in executable format'. This happens for files built with the standard compiling sequence (cc, as, ld), and also using ( gcc, gas, ld). In both cases dbx is satisfied with the file format. Any ideas what's wrong ? Do I need the GNU loader to use gdb ? Any advice would be appreciated.
