The Parts were all perfectly readable and patcheble. So a new kernel was build within 4 hours. What I did was the following: - I took the generic sources for the kernel - extracted all diff files from the distribution. - patched the sources by using patch. - compiled every-thing with the following switches. HAVERS232 HAVEMIDI HAVEMOUSE HAVELOCAL HAVEDISKROOT HAVEFLOPPPY (New floppy driver). The new kernel generated had a loadable image of size 194000Bytes!!!! But I was able to boot it. Also the new distribution of cu.tar was compiled and did run. Here are some of my problems. I can only run cu once (without a problem), the second atthempt does cause al sorts of panics: - File system panic: clock_time err 6 - File system panic: receive error. - File system panic: ??????, etc. Does anyone know how to go further. (I had everything installed before without a problem, also the kernel size I had here was smaller 158000Bytes. *HELP* *HELP* *HELP* *HELP* *HELP* *HELP* *HELP* *HELP* | Wim ten Have ...!hp4nl!gouldnl!whave | | Gould Holland whave@gouldnl.uucp | | Maarssenbroek, The Netherlands (USA) ...!gould!whave | -- | Wim ten Have ...!hp4nl!gouldnl!whave | | Gould Holland whave@gouldnl.uucp | | Maarssenbroek, The Netherlands (USA) ...!gould!whave |
