The 2190 and 4380 aren't very compatible.  Here are the specs on the
Newbury NDR4380:
5.25" form factor
338 MB storage capacity
< 25 ms access time
1224 cylinders, 15 heads, 34 sectors
ESDI/RLL interface

If you're looking for an st-506 type drive, this isn't it.  The
salesman isn't being very straightforward.
