I have recently purchased an IBM 5 1/4" drive. What I have attempted to do us
use the drive select controller from a dead 3 1/2" Amiga drive to connect
the drive up.  I have an external power supply to the drive so that it doesn't
harm anything.  It seems to work sorta ok.  When I do an INFO, it says it's
there, and if I mount it as a 40 track device it works ok, however it keeps
telling me that the drive isn't ready, and always fails on the format.
Could one of you great amiga GURU's tell me what I'm doing wrong?  Please
send me mail because I don't get to read stuff on the networks all that
often.
