If the Timeout AWP TO TEXT route is chosen, rather than the one built into
AppleWorks, saving WP files as text files is not painful, and the files do
not have the troublesome LF-CR at the end of each line.

A disk is available from Gem Software that modifies the text file input
part of AppleWorks such that when it is selected, it goes to the current
volume and displays a list of text files. One can then be selected, and 
will read in.
