Thanking you. The thing that makes the Super Serial Card "super" is the triagular block on the card that has to be set pointed one way for printer and the other for modem (I haven't my manual at the office nor a real SSC to peek at, so someone else will have to tell you which way to point the triangle if it ain't obvious). Softerm doesn't care what switches are switched as it uses polling (doesn't care about interrupts) and addresses the port directly (doesn't care about the firmware or other switch settings). Kermit cares that SW2-6 (switch 6 on the second block) is ON (interrupts enabled). All of the other settings are altered by the application software (Kermit) so they don't matter (so set switch 6 "ON" on both blocks and then it won't matter if you can't tell SW1 from SW2 :-) Murph Sewall Vaporware? ---> [Gary Larson returns 1/1/90] Prof. of Marketing Sewall@UConnVM.BITNET Business School sewall%uconnvm.bitnet@mitvma.mit.edu [INTERNET] U of Connecticut {psuvax1 or mcvax }!UCONNVM.BITNET!SEWALL [UUCP] -+- I don't speak for my employer, though I frequently wish that I could (subject to change without notice; void where prohibited) According to the American Facsimile Association, more than half the calls from Japan to the U.S. are fax calls.
