My mouse was on the verge of giving up the ghost.  I would have to 
click many times for it to recognize the click.  I took it apart and
squirt some 'tuner tonic' from Radio shack on the microswitches and
it is as good as new.   I bought my 520 st when they first came
out, so my mousie is just wearing out, I think.
