i am trying to attach a 2400 baud hayes compatible modem to my 3b1.
the modem people have told me how to configure the modem to accept
unix signals. however, at&t support can only tell me that the entry in
/usr/lib/uucp/modemcap only works for hayes 1200 baud, and that it
does not work with hayes 2400. that is useful information, but not
complete. they suggested i find out from the modem people what to
enter. the modem people don't know anything about unix.

normal situation. the question is, does anyone have the correct
modemcap for a hayes 2400 compatible? if so, please send it to me
or post it.
