I have a 6386 running SVR3.1 with a Hayes Smartmodem 2400B.  I have no
trouble using cu to talk to the outside world, however, I can't get
C-kermit to work.

To set things up I go:

set modem-dialer hayes
set line /dev/tty01
set speed 2400
dial <a-number>

unfortunately at this point nothing happens, i.e. the phone isn't 
picked up and dialled.

Can anyone help please?
