I have received much mail in the last week about the kermit I posted 
having bugs.  This copy was assembled from the sources, which were taken
from columbia.  

I have also been told that the version on maxwell.physics.purdue.edu has 
the same bugs.  

I have uploaded my working copy of kermit and will email copies of it
to anyone wanting it.  I have re-downloaded it and established that it
works,  and I'm waiting to hear from other to see if it can survive 
email.
