I am trying remshing to a dd on a BSD system, but that is slow and won't enable us to use multi-volume backups. What I am looking for is something like RDUMP, or any kind of _fast_ backup. Basicly something that would preserve multi-volumes and would not take more than a few hours to backup 500MB. Any hints, clues, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail to me and I'll sumarize to the net if there is demand.
