It's just plain inconsiderate to spend $200 of net money to avoid spending $5 of your own money to call the manufacturer. Now if you've called the manufacturer and can't get any help, or the manufacturer has gone out of business, etc, *then* is the time to go to the net. Of course other topics, of general interest, are always welcome. But a specific "I've got a XXX doomaflidget, would somebody tell me how it works" is only of use to the author and should only be posted as a final resort.
