Engineering, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA Lines: 24 Scott: Can't find a 3 1/2" hard drive advertisement? You probably haven't been looking for the right thing. All of Seagate's ST-1xx series are 3 1/2" and will fit in the Model 30. As for drive cards ... most of them are regular 3 1/2" hard drives mounted with a controller card. And most of these are unreliable because of the physical positioning of the drive. The ONLY hard drive card that I recommend (strongly) is the HardCard by Plus Systems. They have been the ONLY hard drive card that I've encountered that is truly a hard drive CARD and NOT a hard drive and a controller card mounted together. HardCard's are a bit more expensive but I think that they are worth it if you must go with a hard drive card. Regular hard drives are of course the better choice, overall. __________ ___ / \ / / /_/ / /\/ _/ / / / __/. /__ / / / / / / / / / / 4730 Centre Ave. #412 ARPAnet: Johnny.J.Chin@andrew.cmu.edu / ------- / Pittsburgh, PA 15213 BITnet: jc58@andrew \__________/ (412) 268-8936 UUCP: ...!harvard!andrew.cmu.edu!jc58 Computer Dr. Disclaimer: The views expressed herein are STRICTLY my own, and not CMU's.
