It's available from Solution Systems 541 Main Street Suite 410 So. Weymouth, MA 02190 It's very fast, edits big files (they don't have to fit in memory), it's easy to learn, customizable, and has terrific online help (I used it for months before cracking the manual). You can also compile, link, and run your programs from within Brief. At work I've recently moved from a PC to a Unix workstation. The workstation is great for everything, except that it doesn't have Brief. For any serious editing I still turn to Brief on a PC an then upload my source to the workstation.
