The reason I wish to do this is that I currently have an AT clone (PC Brands) with 1 meg of 256K chips. I need to upgrade to 2 meg`s to run smalltalk. This requires using 1 meg chips which will only fill 1/2 the space available on the mother board and leaves me with 1meg of 256K 100ns drams. I would like to use this dram as a ram disk to improve the performance of loading the smalltalk image file and MS-word. Any suggestion would be welcome.
