Probably an old question, but...

I was thinking of turning my old clone into a pseudo-tower machine (by turning
it on its side :-)).  Will this have any nasty effects?  The only thing that
seems like a consideration is (are) the hard drive (aging TM-502, I believe) 
and ventilation.

Any advice?  (email, write for copies or to convince me to summarize, as usual)
