I am looking for information on the format of Microsoft Word textfiles.
The information on the file structure is needed for converting
word files to other word processors, e.g. Word on the Mac, FrameMaker
on the Sun etc. or conversion to SGML. 

Information on existing software which does this job (public domain preferred)
is also welcome.
