Lines: 34 I have one of their "I/O Mini" boards, a 1/2 size multifunction card for XT. Problem is, I don't have the manual nor the clock software disk. OK, fine, call up the 800 number. Guess what? They want $25 for the manual (a 5 page affair) and $25 MORE for the disk!! So what they are saying is, "Tom, you stupid fool, why do you think we would support our products? Who do we look like, Western Digital? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaa... If you weren't so stupid, you would have bought a CLONE multi I/O card!!!" Since I also have just such an I/O card, also missing the manual and disk, I paged through Computer Shopper until I found someone who carries them. Called them up, and they're sending me both, FOR FREE!!! (By the way, the above reference to Western Digital should be viewed as a compliment; they have excellent customer support.) AST could learn something from these people. Anybody care to protest these ripoff prices, say by sending me a copy of the manual and disk? :-) - A disgruntled ex-customer of AST -- w ["] | Thomas M.
