In brief he is having a problem transfering binary files from a VAX running 
kermit to a Mac 
He Writes:

	    my question would go something like this:

  i have some binary data files on the vax, i have a program which reads (and wr
  (and writes) them compiled on both my mac and the vax.  i have set versaterm
  to receive a binary file (kermit) after setting file type fixed (and i tried
  binary) on my vax based kermit program.  i say send filename, then click
  on my mac to receive binary kermit.  the file comes across, but all cr's
  are translated to lf's in the transferred file. (even thou everthing is
  supposedly set to binary).  Question, what am i doing wrong???
  Does the vax kermit program have a bug??? I have tried this with RedRyder,
  MicrophoneII and VersatermPro with no luck.
