We have a number of users here trying to make the same transition.
One asked me how he could save a directory list to email it to a third
party.  I could only suggest a screen dump to a MacPaint file and then
binhex, or capture a postscript print if a print catalog from a
directory that was "view by name" and edit it with a text editor 
and strip out the postscript header etc,
 am I missing anything?  If you have an answer to either the
