It comes with a basic compliment of tools like DUMPFILE and COMPARE (the two you mention wanting). There's also a great script that builds on the COMPARE tool to give you a neat side-by-side visual compare capability. It's also (fairly) easy to write your own scripts or even your own tools. MPW isn't exactly the most Mac-ish environment in the world, but coming from the PDP world (RSX? RSTS?) you should be right at home... Claris Corp. | Michael R.
